It provides the capability to trace the significant calendar event that marked the beginning of a new cycle (b'ak'tun) on December 21, 2012, and facilitates conversion between the Gregorian calendar and the Maya Long Count calendar.

Designed exclusively for iPhone, Maya Long Count aims to provide an efficient and precise tool for calculating and viewing long count dates, along with the associated haab' and tzolk'in sacred round values. The app enables users to view how dates would have been represented in Mayan inscriptions and perform conversions across a broad date range—from January 1st, 9999 BCE to December 31st, 9999 CE. Additionally, it allows conversion from any date within the current Piktun cycle (0.0.0.0.0 to 19.19.19.17.19).
